Decker reiterates support for UN work in Afghanistan

US Chargé d’Affaires for Afghanistan Karen Decker has met with UNAMA Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Indrika Ratwatte.
Decker said on X on Friday that during the meeting she emphasized “strong support” for the UN’s work in Afghanistan.
“US is the largest humanitarian donor in Afghanistan, providing lifesaving aid to the Afghan people,” she added.
This comes as the United Nations has repeatedly warned that Afghanistan is facing a humanitarian crisis and funding is drying up.
