Car Bomb Targets Security Outpost in Helmand

A car bomb targeted a security outpost of Afghan security forces in Nad-e-Ali district of the southern Helmand province, local officials confirmed.

“The incident took place around 10:00 AM this morning and one army soldier was wounded as the result of the attack”, said Omer Zawak, spokesman of Helmand governor.

The Taliban militant group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack and added that many Afghan soldiers were killed and wounded in the attack.
