Bride Among Two People Shot Dead by Takhar Police Forces

A bride and her brother-in-law were shot dead by the police forces after ignoring police order to stop their riding vehicle crossing a checkpoing in Taloqan, the capital city of Takhar province, said local authorities.

The incident took place in 3th Police District of Taloqan and the bride’s mother-in-law has allegedly sustained injuries in the incident, according to Khalil Assir, spokesman of Takhar Police Chief.

He also indicated that the victims’ riding Recksha type vehicle was targeted by police forces after they refused to be checked by in the checkpoint.

He further added that four police forces and a police officer were immediately arrested in connection to the incident.
