Badakhshan Intelligence Director Resigns

Afghanistan’s intelligence agency called National Directorate of Security (NDS) director for northeastern Badakhshan has resigned from his position.

Ali Ahmad Mobariz announced his resignation Tuesday and asked President Hamid Karzai to accept his resignation.

He said the purpose of his resignation was lack of coordination among the security agencies and lack of government support to the security forces.

According to Mobariz, some circles existed within the government were trying to destroy the security forces of the country.
