Auditing process halted due to physical clashes

vlcsnap-2014-08-06-18h03m14s130The auditing process of all votes cast temporarily halted due to physical clashes among the observers of the two presidential contenders.
Ashraf Ghani’s electoral team accused the international observers of supporting the rival team and Abdullah’s electoral team accused the independent election commission (IEC) of supporting Ghani’s team.
It has been reported that two people who were the observers of the presidential contenders were injured in the dispute.
The independent election commission (IEC) is said to consider the clashes unacceptable, saying the clashed should not be repeated again.
1044 national, international observers and the two electoral team observers Wednesday were busy with auditing the votes and more than 3448 ballot boxes have been audited so far.
