Afghan National Army ANA general ground commander Murad Ali Murad has announced that Afghan National Army will no longer use light weapons for defending the country against Terrorist groups.
He said, “in order to destroy the rebels and their shelters our Army has the rights to use heavy weapons against it which we have the weapons in hands.”
Earlier President Hamid Karzai had asked the Afghan security forces not to use heavy weapons on the residential areas where civilians are living in.
This comes after that Konar Province still witnesses Pakistan missile attacks in different parts of it.
Security chief AbdulHabib during a telephone conversation told to Ariana News during past 24 hours 28 rockets were shot by Pakistani troops into Afghanistan soil.
He added that one old man was injured and a number of families were made to flee from the areas.
He also reported about some of the people who are in rise against Taliban and their affiliates which the Afghan security forces supported.
Meanwhile the Ministry of Interior Affairs said,” during joint operation launched within the 24 hours 80 Taliban were killed in different parts of the country.
The following operations were launched in Konar, Faryab, Kandahar, Wardak, Logar, and Helmand Provinces.
