Ahmad Wali Hotak Loses to Russian Rival in Dushanbe Fight

Ahmad Wali Hotak, Afghan Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, lost to his Russian rival Denis Kanakov in Dushanbe City of Tajikistan on Saturday night.

Hotak was knocked out by Kanakov in the final minute of the third round and experienced his first defeat in international fights.

Hotak expressed regret on his Facebook page after the match and called on his people not to be disappointed about his lost this time.

He prepared for this fight several months ago and began his heavy workouts in Kabul.

The last time Hotak fought with Russian rival was against Ivan Kozachenko that could knockout him during the second round of the match in Moscow City, the capital of Russia.

Ahmed was previously in Taekwondo field, but later he went to the boxing sport and won good results and achievements too.

The 33-year-old Hotak won his first medal at the age of 22 in the same Free-Fight series.
