The minister of commerce and industry has traveled to Turkmenistan to sign the permanent gas purchase agreement, said spokesman of the ministry of commerce and industry.
Musafer Qoqandi, spokesman of the ministry of commerce and industry said, “According to the agreement, Turkmenistan will be required to sale gas to Afghanistan in every season.”
He stressed that the agreement will be signed to prevent gas abuse in the market.
The ministry of commerce and industry also said that it has been scheduled that the agreement of purchasing 34 thousand tons of fuel from Turkmenistan will also be signed between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
Starting from Dawlatabad area of Turkmenistan, the pipeline crosses Farah, Herat, Kandahar and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan.
Earlier, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India signed an operational agreement on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project.
