On World Press Freedom Day, the Afghan president has appointed Nader Naderi, an Afghan human rights activist, ambassador in support of free expression.
On a statement released by the Afghan Presidential office it is said that in order to support the freedom of media, Afghan president has introduced Nader Naderi as ambassador in support of free expression.
Naderi has served as a member and the spokesperson of the Afghanistan’s Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC), as the Chairperson of the Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA) and Chief of Afghanistan’s Observation and Assessment Unit.
According to the statement the Afghan President has emphasized to support “unconditionally” the growth of free media and freedom of speech in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan celebrates the World Press Freedom Day in a time when the country is experiencing the freedom of speech and the reporters are facing different challenges.
