Afghan Special Forces Storm Taliban Prison in Kunduz, Freeing Five

Afghan Special Forces on Thursday night stormed a Taliban prison northern Kunduz province, arresting four suspects and freeing five people who were imprisoned by the armed group.

The Ministry of Defense in a statement said that the raid was conducted in Chahar Dara district of the province in which some weapons and ammunition of the militants were also destroyed.

Separately, the Afghan Special forces have launched a military operation in Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province in which 11 Taliban fighters were killed and a drug lab was destroyed, 201 Silab Military Corps said in a statement.

The Taliban has not immediately commented in this regard.
