Afghan fresh fruits exports boosts by 2 hundred tons this year

Afghanistan chamber of commerce and industry (CCI) said that Afghanistan is expected to export nearly 2 hundred tons of fresh fruits to the international markets this year.

CCI declared that the increase of customs by Pakistan on Afghan fruits have encountered Afghan merchants to many problems; urging the National Unity Government (NUG) to soon find a solution regarding the problem.

“Our products have increased in the current year, the government must resolve our challenges,” Mir Zaman Pupal, head of fresh fruits export in CCI said.

For the fundamental solution of the problem, the Minister of Commerce and Industry says the government should take serious measures to end the problem.

“We will discuss with Pakistani government regarding the issue in the near future and we are trying to find a basic solution for Afghan merchant’s problems,” Hamayoun Rasa, minister of commerce and industry said.

Meanwhile, the ministry of finance also said that customs on Pakistani products has also increased and the process will continue for supporting the Afghan domestic products.

A large part of Afghanistan fresh fruits export to international markets through Pakistan. But according to Afghan-Iran recent agreement, Afghan Fresh fruits will transfer to Iran and other international markets through air.
