Officials in Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) have demanded the Government of Afghanistan to introduce an envoy within the World Trade Organization (WTO) to work on behalf of the Government of Afghanistan to gain more benefits and improve economy.
Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated the following Afghan envoy would be soon introduced to World Trade Organization to work on behalf of the Government of Afghanistan.
Deputy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khanjan Alkozai said, “Afghan Government should have introduced an envoy in World Trade Organization, it should also have created a strong ties between the Government and WTO.”
Meanwhile officials in Government of Afghanistan have confirmed the issue but insisting on introduction of an Afghan in the following Organization.
Ministry of Commerce and Industry Spokesman Musafer Qoqandi said, “Government will soon introduce an envoy, negotiations are underway because the following post wasn’t within the Organizational charts.”
The Afghanistan chamber of commerce and industry said having the membership of the World Trade Organization is a privilege, and will improve ties between countries.
Afghanistan has been capable to gain the membership of the World Trade Organization months ago.
