Afghanistan’s Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah calls on Pakistan to cut its support for the Taliban group to prove its sincerity in action.

“It is a good news, but Pakistan must stop supporting Taliban, this way we can create a mutual trust [between the two countries], Pakistan must halt assistance to terrorist groups to prove its sincerity in actions,” Abdullah speaking at the minister’s weekly council said.

At the same time he thanked Afghan national security forces for taking the control of Kunduz city and fighting against insurgents across the country.

“Advances have been made in clearance operations during the last days, we have to take serious measures to ensure security in Kunduz, and we praise an operation which was conducted against Al Qaeda in Shorabak in which fifteen enemies were killed,” Abdullah said.

These comes as Taliban has launched spring offensive in Afghanistan with attacks on major cities, Afghan peace talks collapsed after the death of Mullah Omar released as two days was left to begin second rounds of talks with Taliban.
