The independent election commission (IEC) has said audit of the 90 percent of ballots has been completed.
Officials in IEC said that limited time remains for announcing the final result of the presidential election.
Spokesman of IEC, Noor Muhammad Noor said that around 2,327 ballot boxes have been left for the audit which will be completed in the next few days.
IEC hopes that both presidential contenders to accept the final result of presidential election.
This comes as that a top aide to the presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah said Tuesday that the campaign would pull out of an internationally monitored vote audit unless changes to the process were made by Wednesday.
Afghanistan presidential election is known one the most controversial elections all around the world which the result of it not announced within six months.
