A 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolted Afghanistan and some neighboring countries including Pakistan where two casualties and substantial damage reported today.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) the epicenter was in 35 Km South of Jurm district in the Northeastern part of Afghanistan. The quake depth was reported 191.19 Kilo meters.
The quake was as power full as frightening that residents of Kabul went out of buildings and tremors lasted about 30 seconds.
Pakistan media reported that the quake shook parts of its Baluchistan region and caused significant damage while at least 1 died and 1 other injured.
Indian media also reported that it was felt in the northern part of the country including in New Delhi, the Capital.
It was also reportedly felt in Tashkent, the Capital city of Uzbekistan in the northeastern of Afghanistan.
