At least 34 people were killed and nearly five thousand families were displaced following clashes between the Taliban group, the Islamic State (IS)-Daesh group and the inhabitants of Khogyani district of Nangarhar province, the local officials said.
According to the local officials, the IS group has captured ten villages of the district that were once Taliban’s key centers.
The displaced people of Khogyani said most of the casualties were civilians and they abandoned their homes and spent the night across the roads without receiving any aids and assistance.
According to Khoyani inhabitants, all of their properties are now in hands of the IS group and most of the injured people and death bodies are still remaining on the ground.
They expressed deep concern and warned that if the government does not take serious measures, the IS group will reach to the Kabul gates.
In the meantime, the Afghan local officials stressed they will defeat the Daesh and the Taliban group with the cooperation of the people.
