At least fifteen civilians and three local police were wounded in a suicide attack in Muhammad Agha district of Logar province, officials said.
Abdul Warar, security commander of Logar confirmed the incident, saying the incident took place in Salam Hotel of Muhammad Agha district.
He further added that the incident took place around 2:30 pm.
According to him, the suicide bomber aimed to attack a funeral ceremony that was held for the victims of Kabul Police academy.
According to interviews in the province, the security situation has deteriorated significantly over the past year. They also perceive most roads that link rural areas with the provincial markets to be very unsafe.
The attack comes as Taliban group intensifies its terrorist attacks in the last month.
