11 Pakistan-Based Insurgents Detained From Kandahar

The Afghan intelligence agency called National Directorate of Security (NDS) reports of detaining eleven suicide bomb makers and trainers from southern Kandahar province.
A quantity of arms and suicide vests have also been seized during the raid conducted for arresting the master trainers of suicide bombings, the source said.
NDS has said in a statement that the detained terrorists have confessed to their crimes and have admitted they had been trained in Quetta and Chaman cities of Pakistan.
According to intelligence findings, the militants had planned to carryout bombings on the Runoff Election Day.
Recently, the interior minister said in a press conference that the Taliban have planned of big attacks as part of their revenge after they failed to disrupt the first round of Presidential Election on April 5.
The security agencies, however, have promised of tight security measures on the runoff day going to be held on June 24.
