1 militant killed, 6 injured as Taliban attack police checkpoints in Farah

At least 1 Taliban fighter was killed and six others were injured in clashes between the Afghan police and Taliban militants in western Farah province of Afghanistan, police said.

The clashes occurred last night when a group of the anti-government militants stormed police checkpoints in Farah Rud area of Bala Buluk district, Provincial police spokesman, Iqbal Baher told Ariana News.

He added, at least one Taliban fighters was killed and six others injured while an Afghan police also sustained injuries.

The Taliban group has not made a comment yet.
