Afghanistan Olympics Chairman’s official visit to U.S

Mr. Zahir Akhbar; the Chairman Afghanistan Olympics who had visited United States to met with the officials of that state Olympics committee has returned Kabul.

He visited Complex Sport School during this visit.

According to him, so far 85 countries have the membership of Complex Sport School and Afghanistan may be a member in near future.

Mr. Akhbar officially visited United States on the invitation of NATO Chief Commander Gen. John Alem and United States sports development center

Mr. Akhbar has satisfied from the outcome of his visit and its hope that the Chairman of U.S. Olympics committee may visit Afghanistan in near future.

U.S Sports Department officials promised that beside U.S assistance in providing sports facilities and equipment, the U.S will also support Afghan sportsmen in other fields

According to another news report, the national cricket team will be leave for Nepal on 19th November 2011to participate the international one-day series.

Ten countries are going to participate in this World Cup qualification series.

Afghanistan will face their first match with Hong Kong on 3rd December 2011.

It’s mentionable that Afghanistan had been qualified fro World Cup last time and will show better performance this time.

Currently, Afghanistan got 6th position in 2nd class countries of the world.
