Afghan Athlete Defeats his Polish rival in London Olympic Games

Afghan taekwondo athlete Rohullah Nikpa, Bronze Medalist, defeats his Polish opponent by 12-5 in his first match at the Olympic Games in London on Thursday.Marking Afghanistan’s first victory in the 2012 London Olympic Games, Nikpa downed his Polish opponent Michael Loniewski in the third round of the taekwondo match. In his next match, Nikpa is set to compete with his Iranian opponent Muhammad Baqiri Motamed.Afghan citizens at home and abroad, are celebrating Nikpa’s victory and are praying for his next victory.The renowned Afghan athlete, Rohullah Nikpa, won a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
