Wolesi Jirga wants a public trial of the US Soldier

The Wolesi Jirga left the Monday’s session as a protest against the brutal slayings of civilians in the Panjwae district of the southern province of Kandahar.
The House of Representatives passed a resolution strongly condemned the rampage of the US Soldier and asked the US government to bring the soldier to justice. The House also assigned a delegation to investigate the case.
The leader of the National Coalition, Abdullah Abdullah, also condemned the brutal killings of civilians and said the Afghan government and international community should present their reports on the Kandahar incident as soon as possible.
Two days ago, on Sunday early morning, a US Soldier opened fire in three houses, killing 16 people including women and children and injuring five others.
The US Soldier, who carried out this brutal slayings, is now under US Army detention. The US President Barrack Obama and US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta have vowed to punish this soldier for his inhumane act.
