US House of Representatives include Haqqani Network in terrorist blacklist

The US House of Representatives has designated the Haqqani Network as the most dangerous terrorist group in the region.
With this designation, the US House has officially advised the US State Department to add the Haqqani network to the blacklist of terrorist organizations. This foreign terrorist organization is based in Pakistan. It has been increasingly involved in staging attacks against NATO forces.
Growing numbers of organizations are demanding that more military pressure must be placed on the Haqqani network and other terrorist groups.
Mohammad Asim, a political expert, said “The Pakistan government itself is involved in supporting the Haqqani network. America should push harder first on Pakistan to convince them to sweep out the network which would greatly weaken the insurgency.
The Haqqani network is known as one of the most dangerous terrorist groups in the region according to the US House of Representatives. Afghan security forces have stated many times that most of the destructive actions in the country are related to this group, expressing their concerns that Pakistan’s ISI supports to the Haqqani network.
