A tripartite meeting aimed at improving relations between Afghanistan, Pakistan and the United States on the sidelines of the Tokyo Conference on Afghanistan.
The fight against the terrorism, improved support of the Afghan-led peace process and a political solution to stabilize Afghanistan and the region were the important issues discussed by the three sides.
During the short-tripartite meeting, Pakistan was asked to show honesty in exterminating the centers of insurgents based on its soil.
Expressing optimism about the holding of trilateral meeting, the spokesman of Afghan Foreign Ministry Janan Musazai said, “The holding of tripartite meeting between America, Pakistan and Afghanistan is a good chance for ensuring stability in Afghanistan.”
The support of the Taliban by the Pakistani military and its intelligence agencies has been a major concern of Afghanistan and the world.
The issue of Pakistan’s insincerity in combating terrorism has been frequently raised in all political-related meetings and gatherings inside and outside Afghanistan.
