Fri Feb 10, 3:56 pm

Hundreds of suffering families in the Qara-Darya village of central Shebarghan received food items, warm clothes and other life necessities through emergency aid from the Bayat Foundation.  Shebarghan is the provincial capital of northern Jawzjan province.

The chairman of the Bayat Foundation, Senator Ehsanullah Bayat, helped distribute the relief supplies to the people.  He said, “Assisting needy people in such adverse weather conditions is the priority of the foundation.  We are trying hard to provide assistance to many of the neediest people in Afghanistan.”

“The Bayat Foundation continues to help many poor people across the country.  The families that have been assisted by this Foundation, were in maximum need of assistance in during these terrible weather conditions,” according to the Head of Jawzjan Refugees and Repatriation Office, Engineer Abdul Karim.

“We live in very difficult conditions and the Bayat Foundation’s aid was very timely and much appreciated,” said the Qara-Darya villagers.

Bayat Foundation is one of the only Afghan institutions to consistently distribute emergency aid to needy and deserving people in the country.

Along with emergency relief programs, the Bayat Foundation continues to contribute to the construction of schools, mosques, hospitals, and cultural centers.  It also helps provide welfare services across Afghanistan.
