A number of girl students of Chelsetoon High School, located in seventh district of Kabul, were poisoned on Tuesday. The schoolgirls said they fell ill after drinking the well water inside the school.
Yet now, the exact numbers of affected students are not clear but it’s said that about 14 girls were poisoned.
So far, it’s not clear how the girls were poisoned, however, the medical examinations are underway, said the doctors.
Meanwhile, the Education Ministry spokesman, Amanullah Eman, said the issue was not worrying and might have been a natural incident.
Recently during the series of terrorist plans about 600 girl students were poisoned in several schools of northern Takhar province.
Similar cases had also occurred before in Khost, Bamyan and Ghazni provinces where dozens of students were poisoned.
So far, the motivation of the incidents is unclear, but the National Directorate of Security (NDS) officials accuse Pakistan’s intelligence agencies of involvement in the anti-education attacks.
