Plan attack on parliament was withdrawn

A group of ten insurgents who had planned any attack on parliament have been detained, officials of national security officials said.

The detainees had received military trainings in different regions of Pakistan, national security directorate spokesperson Lutfullah Mashal said.

Security officials detained a gang of ten insurgents from district nine of Kabul city last week, Lutfullah Mashal added.

These detainees wanted to transfer weapons and explosive materials to Kabul through a box that contained Quran and used them to attack parliament.

This group was leaded by Quetta Council and Peshawar, Pakistan, Lutfullah Mashal added.

Security forces discovered four suicide jackets, 4 Kalashnikovs and 30 rounds of bullets from these insurgents.

These insurgents had already visited and observed all the surrounding of National Council, Mashal added.

Four of these insurgents are Pakistani nationals and the reaming six are Afghans.
