Monthly about 30 to 40 traffic accidents occur because of the narrow high from Kabul to Northern Parwan, traffic department officials said.
The Parwan Governor Abdul Baseer Salangi says the traffic accidents would decrease after the construction of second highway from Kabul to Jabal-Suraj district, northern Parwan.
Although, by the order of Interior Ministry, all the traffic barriers have been removed from Charekar City (provincial capital of Parwan) but still the traffic accidents have not decreased, said the Head of Parwan traffic department Khowaja Mehrabudin Parwani.
Nearly two hundred traffic accidents occurred this year and a number of pedestrians were killed and injured.
