A group of Pakistani Taliban in Kamdesh and Bargmatal districts of eastern Nuristan province forcefully removed inhabitants from their homes and instead, they replaced them with Pakistani families, local officials said.
“This group is known as black wearers and its members are people with red hats and long hair. They harass the people, extort “taxes” from them, and during the past few days they have set homes on fire,” Nuristan Governor spokesman said.
This group has blocked the way for government employees and for their funding, they extort money from the people.
Meanwhile the Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid in a statement has ignored the issue and has said that they would go through investigations.
Since many years some areas of Kamdesh and Bargmatal districts of eastern Nuristan province have been under control of Taliban. Clashes have been observed between the militants and government forces many times, according to witnesses.
