Nine gunmen, affiliated with Taliban were detained in Northern Afghanistan

National security officials and rapid responsive forces have detained two Taliban militants from Ali Abad district of Northern Kunduz province during a military operation, Kunduz Police Commander Samiullah Qatra said.
Security forces also seized a rocket launcher, five rocket rounds, an AK-47 and some other military equipment from these militants, he added.
He also reported about the detention of four other people; suspected of bombing with an explosive barrel fitted with a remote control bomb form the mention district.
Mr. Qatra also said that the operations were carried out successfully and no security forces were among the casualties.
These six suspected people were arrested with military equipments in two separate operations and are counted as great achievement, he added.
Meanwhile, National Directorate of Security Takhar also reported about the detention of three Taliban associated militants along with an explosive barrel, a remote control bomb, an AK-47 and 250 rounds of bullets from Baharak district of Takhar.
Two of these detainees are graduated from department of Islamic Studies, University of Takhar and confessed their crime that they had intent to attacked national security forces.
