International forces launched an air attack on a girl’s school in Shinwar district of Eastern Nangarhar Province yesterday morning.
Nangarhar governor’s spokesperson Ahmad Zia Abdulzai said, “The incident took place Wednesday’s morning, around 8 A.M”.
Similarly, local residents claimed that 8 students and a security guard were injured in the attack.
According to Mr. Abdulzai, “The purpose of this attack is not clear yet”. He added that investigations have started to find out the real cause of the air strike.
ISAF forces have not commented in this report yet.
Foreign forces also launched an air attack on a school in the same district last year, after confirming that Taliban militants were hiding there.
