National Singer Rahim Ghamzada died

Prof. Rahim Ghamzada the national singer died at the age of 75 due to cancer diseases.
Mr. Ghamzada was born in an intellectual family in Khogyani district of Nangarhar province and for half a century served to Afghan music.
Ghamzada due to his pleasant voice soon earned a good reputation among artists and country singers and thus took place in the hearts of the people of Afghanistan.
He was the first singer of Afghan Pashto folk music with singing eastern and western Tal, Mr. Khaksaar one of his friends said.
Mr. Khaksaar criticizing the government said during the sickness of Ghamzada, neither government officials nor the cultural authorities assisted the national singer and didn’t pay any attention to his treatment.
Meanwhile Muhammad Ayub Fazly the spokesman of Afghan musicians’ association said Prof. Rahim Ghamzada since sixty years was cooperating in Afghan music and has sung hundreds of patriotic and heroic songs.
During his life, he won many awards of the best singer of the country.
