MRRD to recommence the development projects in Paktika

After the several years stop of development programs, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) intends to cover all the villages of southern Paktika province under its development program.
The minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development; Jarullah Mansoori said in the second round of rural development programs, the Paktika province would be more considered due to being deprived of development programs during last few years.
The development programs were halted due to the inattention of past ministry officials but within the next three or five years, this gap will be offset by the Ministry, Mr. Mansoori added.
The local authorities of southern Paktika province while expressing gladness to the resume of development programs demanded the government to provide attention to the lives of local residents.
Meanwhile the Ministry also inaugurated a water supply project worth 5.3 million Afghanis in Argon District of southern Paktika province. With the completion of this project, the problems of water shortage would be solved, officials said.
In the past eight years, 800 million Afs were allocated for the National Solidarity program of Paktika province but after the utilizing 650 million afs, the projects were stopped of insecurity.
