Local authorities stand ready to take over security responsibilities of Nawa and Nad Ali districts of Helmand Province.
These two districts are considered to be included in the second phase of security transition to Afghan forces.
Residents of these districts supporting this process demand for better police behavior with civilians.
Security forces’ survey in the province shows that these National Security Forces are able to take over security responsibilities from International forces, said Helmand Governor Muhammad Gulab Mangal.
In the first stage that security responsibilities of Lashkar Gah City were handed over to Afghan forces, armed oppositions tried most to fail this process in the city but couldn’t achieve their goal, he added.
The people have increased to trust over National Police and Security forces have also performed their duty well and also well trained.
Residents of these districts supporting this process demand the government for the implementation of development projects.
