Various non-governmental officials have cooperated with a merchant in replacing 100 acres of governmental lands in Khost city with a desert in Mazar-a-Sharif, these residents said.
Although, the tribal elders have promised that they will prohibit the occupation of governmental lands and security has detained some of these people but local people demanded for detention of those people who supported the merchant in giving bribe.
Khost local authorities have refer the director of Khost Agriculture department and some other government officials to the attorney office in this regard.
But local people in Khost said that non-government servants have provided the facilities of bribes for the merchant and must be punished.
Some government servants and non-government servants have provided the facilities for that merchant to exchange 420 acres of government land in Khost with a desert in Mazar-a-Sharif, Khost local residents said.
They have no land for building schools, hospitals and other public welfare centers, then how hundreds acres of government land was given to a stranger, they added.
