Kabul Residents are fed-up with transportation problems

A number of Kabul residents while complaining about the lack of autobuses said although in past ten years, many foreign countries have granted hundreds of autobuses to Afghan government but now there isn’t any bus in the city.

The residents claim that they wait for hours at stations but there are no buses to transport them.

However, officials at the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation while confirming the issues told to resolve the problems with the cooperation of other institutions.

They have discussed with Japan and India to launch workshops for reparation of city buses, Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said.

About 300 autobuses exist in bust department of Transportation Ministry but are unable to use.

Lack of transportation services and damaged roads are among the biggest challenges for Kabul residents. Most of the residents are compelled to remain for hours at the stations.
