Sat Jul 14, 12:12 pm

India intends to build an animal clinic in the Tanai district of Khost province, officials said on Friday.

While laying down the foundation stone of a one-story clinic building, governor of Khost Abdul Jabbar Naeemi said the building would have 8 rooms and its construction would be finished in four months at a cost of 4 million Afs.

He said with the construction of the clinic most of the medicine needs of livestock can be addressed.

The residents that participated at the inaugural ceremony welcomed the construction of an animal clinic and called it effective for their area.

Due to the absence of animal clinics, the residents said they suffer huge losses as their cattle die from several diseases.

Tanai is one of the remote areas of Khost whose residents are employed in farming and livestock occupations.
