High wedding costs and youth’s abroad travel

Although bride prices reduced in Baghlan but inappropriate expenses such as expensive hotels and beauty salons force the youngsters to travel to Iran and Pakistan to earn more money.
Religious scholars’ role is very important to eradicate this abominable tradition, Baghlan women’s Affairs head Rahima Zarifi said.
Currently, families in rural areas receive up to one million AFN from the groom’s family.
Although bride prices seems lower in the city but holding wedding parties in hotels, high beauty parlor rates and musicians high demanding amount compel a number of young Afghan to travel abroad to earn more money.
Therefore the Afghan youngsters traveling to abroad become drug addicts or killed in there.
