NDS forces today killed 5 insurgents and seized 3 vehicles at a house near the Pul-i-Charkhi prison. It is reported that the insurgents were killed in a fire-fight after being interrupted while loading ammunition and suicide bomb materials into the vehicles. It is believed they were planning to go to three separate parts of the city for planned attacks on hotels later this evening. There were no NDS or civilian causalities, a police spokesperson says. It is reported that there were 8 insurgents involved in the fire-fight, but that 3 escaped.
