First snow of this winter covered North Afghanistan

Mazar Sharif provincial capital of Balkh province in North Afghanistan experienced the first snow of this winter.
Consecutive snow for many hours on Tuesday morning covered all the roads and streets of Mazar Sharif.
Cold weather, heavy rain and snowfall have elaborated the transportation system in North Afghanistan.
Afghanistan has gone through years of drought and despite the problems of cold and fuel rates, snow and rainfall is considered a blessing for many Afghans.
However the people in northern areas had not completed their winter preparations but heavy rain and early snow surprised the people, reported by Basheer Ansari ATN reporter.
Early snowfall was also reported from Faryab, Sare Pul, Jawzjan and Samangan provinces.
Snowfall on the third day of Eid-ul-Adha had changes the weather and festive movements became lesser and the people were busy to warm their homes and rooms.
