Capacity building & Training of Afghan National Police

Afghan national police academy officials said that they have increased their efforts to accelerate training of Afghan police.

Police academy commander Shah Alam Sapand during graduation ceremony of various policemen yesterday said that these soldiers will perform duties   in 34 provinces for ensuring people’s security.

According to Mr. Sapand, these programs will continue in the future and one-month training course may be organized to expand this program in all provinces.

German military trainers will train Afghan police to increase their capacities and will teach them new tactics to counter crimes.

Meanwhile, German project consultant in Police Academy said that these training courses will be effective in capacity building of Afghan police.

He also stress to continue this program and said that Germany has trained four hundred and sixteen police trainers of Afghanistan police Academy since May 2011 and may many other Afghan police.

The participants also welcome the training program and said that these trainings will help in capacity building of Afghan police.

Moqbil, one of this term trainee said that the four week course organized by Germany was very effective and we were thought about psychology and teaching methods.

Officials told about accelerating police trainings in such a time that the second phase of security transition has been started in country.
