Even though most schools in Ghazni have been closed due to the Taliban’s threats against them, the residents of the Andar district have fought back against the Taliban and a local school student there has discovered a new mathematical formula.
The young man, Khalilullah, is the first position holder of Class 11 in Alberoni High School. He has created a formula to solve a degree of equations that has never before been seen, according to Sidiq Afghan, the head of the International Center for Mathematical Philosophy in Kabul.
Khalilullah thinks he has an extraordinary talent and hopes that the government will provide him with opportunities to receive higher studies outside the country. He said the formula that he discovered was confirmed by Sidiq Afghan, head of International Center for Mathematical Philosophy in Kabul.
“I have not seen this formula before in any book. Neither I have used any source, nor cheated from Internet. This is all my efforts. Through this formula we can solve the problems of degree of equations,” said Khalilullah, after questioned about the new formula by Ariana TV reporter in Ghazni.
His father says his entire life has been made difficult with huge problems but he has tried his best to provide a good education for his son. He urges the government to provide his son a higher education outside the country.
Praising the boy’s extraordinary talent, the deputy Governor of Ghazni, Ahmad Ali Ahmadi, said the province does not have any financial aid that they can provide for this talented student to encourage him. But he promised that he would make an effort to provide him with higher studies in a foreign country.
The Taliban have forced the closure of many of the Ghazni schools. The residents have been very concerned about their children’s education. Based on some reports, the residents of Andar district of Ghazni have raised weapons against the Taliban to reopen the schools.
