America is pursuing specific objectives in region: Atta Muhammad Noor

The United States has specific objectives in the region and want to use Afghanistan as a base to achieve its goals, Balkh governor, Dr. Atta Muhammad Noor said.
He also criticizes the activities of the central government and the international community in Afghanistan.
“The US has being in Afghanistan, to prevent the re-empowerment of Russia, to avoid Iranian access to nuclear weapons, to control Central Asian States and to stop China from becoming a world economic giant”, Balkh governor said in a meeting with some Afghan senators.
He added that America wants to use Afghanistan as a military base, to achieve these objectives.
Balkh governor warned about the adverse events in Afghanistan after 2014 and said, “The Afghan army breakup, if the international community stopped their assistance to Afghanistan”.
Meanwhile, the senate delegates presented the letter of appreciation to Balkh governor for his efforts in the implementation of development projects, ensuring security and strengthening governance, during their visit to Northern Province of Balkh.
While Balkh governor expressed these statements, the Afghan government is considering to sign strategic alliance with the United States of America.
