Afghan security forces takes the security responsibility of entire Kabul

The security responsibility of Sarobi district of Kabul province was handed over to the Afghan security forces on Thursday.
Sarobi district is considered relatively insecure areas of Kabul and its security was being maintained by French troops.
During the security transition ceremony, Ahmadullah Alizai; the governor of Kabul urged the local people to cooperate the Afghan forces in maintaining national security.
While recalling his country’s long-term commitment towards Afghanistan, Bernard Bajolet; the French Ambassador to Afghanistan said, “France may continue its economic, social and cultural cooperation with Afghanistan for the next 20 years”.
The security transition process is gradually ending but the quality and equipment of the Afghan security forces is not clear yet. It is expected that NATO member countries will announce their decision about the future and quantity of the Afghan security, in Chicago conference.
