Thu Aug 16, 11:19 am

Officials in National Directorate of Security says, those who do not believe in Afghan Security Forces either do not know the strength and resolve of the ASF or are trying to undermine the work they are doing in connection with insurgents.

The National Directorate of Security has a strong belief in the perfect capacity of security personnel, and stated that they are capable of defending against any type of insurgency. An NDS spokesman said that Afghan Forces are competent to defend Afghan soil and can conduct any sort of independent operation that might be needed.

The NDS recommended that parliament members and other elders and leaders take a personal, first-hand look at Afghan forces’ operations, and that they would be encouraged at their ability to conduct independent operations.

By arresting an insurgent group that had a complex attack plans against parliament and second deputy of the President, Mr. Khalili with multiple weapons and suicide bombs, the NDS said that they had demonstrated that they are now capable of taking full charge of safeguarding Afghanistan’s security.

Shafiq Ullah Tahiry spokesperson and deputy to the National Directorate of Security said that the individuals arrested in the recent operation confessed that they belong to the Haqqani network and trained in Pakistan.

In another development, the National Directorate of Security reported that they had arrested an individual on charges of bearing an IED in the Paghman District of Kabul.  He also reported that they had detained three other suicide operators from the Helmand Province.
