30 Taliban fighters killed, 50 injured in a clash in Western Afghanistan

Thirty Taliban fighters were killed and around 50 others injured during a clash with NATO and Afghan security forces in western Farah province, officials said on Thursday.
According to Farah provincial officials, the NATO and Afghan forces launched the operation after Taliban militants attacked a private security company at Bakwaa desert of western Farah province.
After the clash with Taliban, that result in the killing of 5 guards of the private security company, NATO and Afghan forces carried joint operation in Toot and Chakaw areas of the mentioned district.
Farah security chief, Colonel Muhammad Ghows said, “30 Taliban militants have been killed and 50 others were injured during the military operation”. Security forces have seized 20 motorcycles and some weapons and military equipments, he added.
It is said that the operation was one the major military operations against armed insurgents that brought most casualties to them.
Taliban officials have not commented in this regard yet.
