160,000 students took the University Entry Tests across Afghanistan

The University entry tests (Concord Exams) were held in Kabul University where 38,000 school graduates appeared in the tests.
While taking about the increasing capacity of Higher Educational Institutes, the Higher Education Ministry officials said, “The capacity for the students has increased by 5000 as compared to last year”.
Dr. Bari Siddequi; the deputy Minister of Higher Education said, “This year, almost 160,000 students had registered themselves for the university entry test but only 40,000 of them would be given admissions in the universities.”
About 50,000 other students would be referred to the semi- higher educational institutes and the remaining 60,000 least scorers would be unqualified, Mr. Sidiqi added.
A number of senators supervise the university entry test in Kabul University.
“Some of the candidates were detained that had appeared in the tests with the fake documents” the officials said. They also denied the involvement of the Ministry officials in this case.
Tight security measures were taken around Kabul University, so that the candidates attended the examination without fear or intimidation.
