Special prosecution offices for women will be created in 6 provinces

Creation of these prosecution offices are aimed to prevent violence against women and their access to the justice.
Attorney General said:
In recent years, due to violence against women, many women tried for self immolation.
According to UN International Development Law Organization (IDLO):
About 576 cases of violence against women are reported in Kabul, 13 cases in Balkh and 72 cases reported in Herat City.
Afghan Attorney General Office considers establishing prosecution offices in six provinces of Afghanistan especially for women.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday between the Attorney General Office and the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).
Abdul Wakil Ameeni Deputy Attorney General said:
Poverty, illiteracy, low marriage age, unemployment, and some bad traditions of the country have increased violence against women.
According to the reports of (IDLO), the violence against women has been increased in 6 mentioned provinces.
Muhammad Shafiq Siddeqi, head of this organization said:
They are struggling for creation of more special prosecution offices for women over all Afghanistan, to prevent violence against women.
