Last Week’s attack on Abdul Rahim Hanafi (Shah Agha) was followed by a bomb which was placed under the mattress of the top cleric.
The attack killed the head of the provincial council and injured at least six students who were busy with studying in their madrassa.
According to a statement of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the detained culprit identified as Nasir Ahmad has joined the Taliban armed group in Parwan two years ago, with coordination of a man called Qari Mahbob. He has been given the task to kill some of the provincial clerics and tribal elders.
During the initial inquires Nasir Ahmad admitted that he was plotter of the mine inside Dar-e-Uloom of Parwan, the statement added.
