Paktika Deputy Chief of Intelligence Reportedly Killed in Ghazni


Paktika deputy chief of intelligence reportedly has been killed in a Taliban ambush in Ghazni province of Afghanistan.

A security source who wishes not to be named said the deputy of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) for Paktika province was killed with six of his bodyguards this afternoon in an ambush in Band Sardi area of Ghazni province.

he added that the assailants were in army uniform.

Ghazni local officials confirmed the attack, but did not confirm killing of the intelligence official.

Reports suggest that the official was conducting an operation in the area when he came under attack.
